Main characteristics The sub-section Alcántara-Garrovillas Reservoir, included on the route of the high-speed line Madrid-Estremadura-Portuguese border, has a total length of 6.3 km.
This sub-section includes:
1. 1.Almonte Bridge
Length: 996.00 m, distributed in three well differentiated parts,
a.The central part is formed by an arc with an upper deck of 384.00 m (45+7*42+45),
b.The other two parts constitute the access to the arc: the left margin is 261.00 m long, distributed into six spans (36 + 5*45) and the right margin is 351.00 m long, distributed into eight spans (36 + 7*45);
Construction process:
a. Deck: in-situ with launching beam.
b. Arc: in-situ with form
travellers.
2.Cagancha and Villaluengo viaducts
Length: 431.00 m, distributed into eight central spans of 45.00 m and two side spans of 35.50 m.
Deck construction process: in-situ with arched falsework.
3.Santa Ana viaduct
Length: 341.00 m, distributed into six central spans of 45.00 m and two side spans of 35.50 m.
Deck construction process: in-situ with arched falsework.
